Man pleads guilty to stealing £70 from Ronald McDonald charity box

A MAN has pleaded guilty to stealing £70 cash from a charity box belonging to Ronald McDonald House Charities which provides help for families of sick children.

David Gibson (34), formerly of Hill Streeet in Ballymena but now of Rosemary Place in Coleraine, committed theft on March 27 last year.

The defendant was at Ballymena Magistrates Court and the case has been adjourned to mid-March.

No further details were given to the court.

Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families while their child is in hospital.
