Man shouted ‘foul-mouthed obscenities’ outside mum’s address

1 Mins read

A Coleraine man who shouted “foul-mouthed obscenities” outside his mum’s address has been fined £150.
Barry McConaghy (34), of Chapel Square in the town, committed the offence on July 24 this year.

A prosecutor told Coleraine Magistrates Court police had received a report of a male kicking and banging on the door of his mother’s home.
Police had previously removed him from the property.

However, after being in a chip shop he returned and was shouting “foul-mouthed obscenities”.

A defence solicitor said the defendant was regretful for the alcohol-fuelled incident but that he is now back living at his mother’s address.

District Judge Peter King told the defendant: “It looks as if everything has calmed down between you and your mother”.
