A man arrested for being disorderly in Coleraine then struck the arm of an officer driving him to a police station.
Gary Alan Keys (36), of Carnany Park, Ballymoney, swore at police on March 29 this year before being arrested in the Bushmills Road area.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court on April 29 he pleaded guilty to charges of being disorderly and assault on police.
Defence barrister Alan Stewart said the defendant had gone to Coleraine to “do some messages” but after drinking he had very little recollection although he was “very contrite” afterwards.

The defendant, who had a record, was given a three months prison term, suspended for two years.
