Man suffers injuries to nose and eye socket being punched by ‘friend’

A MAN suffered injuries to his nose and eye socket after being punched in his home by a “friend”.

The details emerged at Coleraine Magistrates Court on November 25 where Marcin Marzec (39), of Brook Street in Coleraine, admitted assault.

The incident happened on February 23 this year.

District Judge Peter King noted the incident happened when the defendant was half way through a two year period of suspension regarding an eight months sentence.

The current case was adjourned to January for a pre-sentence report.
