1 Mins read

Police were called to a disturbance at Lyttlesdale in Garvagh and found a man “shirtless”, Coleraine Magistrates Court was told on Friday.

Martin Bell (22), with an address at Rockview Park in Moneymore, was in court for sentencing on charges of being disorderly and resisting police relating to November 2017.
He had been verbally abusive to police during the 1.30am incident and constantly swore and when arrested he had “struggled violently” and lashed out.

Defence solicitor Stephen McCann said the defendant, a chef, is due to be married soon.

Bell was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work.
