A MAN using a Lexus vehicle whilst being uninsured has been given six penalty points and fined £200.

Jonathan Nesbitt (31), of Rosemary Place, Coleraine, came to police attention in the Millburn area of the town on January 9 this year.

Coleraine Magistrates Court, on Monday, heard the defendant told police he thought he was covered under a trader’s policy.

A defence solicitor said there had been a “misunderstanding”.
