1 Mins read

A MAN accused or robbing a Centra store in Limavady has been released on bail.

Brandon Steele (19), with an address listed as Glenbeg Walk, appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on September 16 via video link from Hydebank prison where he has been on remand.

He is accused of stealing £380 in a robbery at the Centra Store on the Ballyquin Road in Limavady on June 8 this year.

Defence solicitor Paddy McGurk said a previous suggested address had been deemed too close to Limavady but another address has now been secured in Derry/Londonderry.
The lawyer said the charge is to be contested.

The case was adjourned to October.

The defendant was freed on £500 bail with conditions including an exclusion from Limavady and he is to have no contact with employees of the Centra store.

He has a night time curfew when he will be subject to electronic tagging and he is not to consume alcohol.
