Man who wounded another man is ordered to do unpaid work

A man who pleaded guilty to ‘unlawfully and maliciously wounding’ a man during an incident in Portballintrae has been ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work.

Ian Parke (29), of Heronshaw, Bushmills, committed the offence on April 7 last year.

Sentencing took place at Antrim Crown Court.

A suspended sentence he had been given at Coleraine Magistrates Court in 2017 was also varied to run for another year.
