Maurice Bradley MLA has thanked Council for their efforts in tidying up a gap site at Newmarket Street in Coleraine.
The East Londonderry representative contacted Council after his office received several complaints from business owners in the area over the summer months about the state of the site.
The gap site links Newmarket Street to Long Commons.
MLA Bradley said: “It is pleasing that Council have taken action at this site.
“The asphalt is a permanent solution.
“It had been a grass area before, but it was badly overgrown, covered in dog foul and had become a dumping ground, which was unsightly, in an area just off Coleraine town centre.
“It is vital that Council continue to maintain this site as it is a link between any future development at the Market Yard and the nearby carpark.”
