The Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council has praised the work of the Community Rescue Service following the screening of BBC documentary The Search.
The three-part series, which aired for the first time last night (January 22nd), follows the efforts of CRS volunteers as they search for missing people.
The Mayor Councillor Brenda Chivers said: “The documentary on the Community Service Rescue volunteers has reconfirmed my gratitude for the work they do in our communities.
“I recently invited local volunteers from the Causeway Coast and Glens area to Cloonavin for a civic reception and it was an honour to pay tribute and congratulate them on their efforts to keep our Borough a safe place for everyone.
“Alongside the search and rescue response, the programme also explores the impact on families when a loved one goes missing and the determination and dedication of the volunteer teams.
I would encourage everyone to watch next week and see for yourself the terrific work of this organisation.”
