McCandless Welcomes Jobs Creation In Coleraine

1 Mins read

Ulster Unionist Councillor, William McCandless, has welcomed news of 30 new jobs being created at the B & M store in Coleraine.

The retailer currently employs 72 staff but with recent and ongoing expansion will see them taking on the 30 additional staff.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community this afternoon William said ” Whilst I am always seeking to improve the economic climate for the centre of town, I welcome any jobs which are coming to the Coleraine area.  In recent discussions with town planners and council officers we need to consider best how to marry up the centre of town and the retail park to make it seamless and an enjoyable shopping experience for all who visit and live in Coleraine”.

John Mailey, Store Manager at B&M Coleraine, said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new and improved store.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our customers through the door in a few weeks.”
