McGuigan welcomes investment to resurface Glenravel Road

1 Mins read

Sinn Féin MLA Philip McGuigan has welcomed the investment of £230,00 on resurfacing the A43 Glenravel Road outside of Cargin village.

Mr. McGuigan said; “I welcome the announcement from Minister Hazzard on this scheme which will resurface the A43 between Glensbrae road and Gortnageeragh road. This is the route to the Glens and is a very busy road out of Ballymena used by commuters and also by many tourists and this improvement is necessary. It is a substantial amount of money and will result in a good length of road getting resurfaced.

“I also welcome the fact that after consultation with TNI the road will remain passable with a convoy system and no road closure is necessary. This will hopefully cause as little disruption as possible.”
