1 Mins read

Sinn Féin Councillor Cathal Mclaughlin has praised the work of Cllr Sean Bateson as his term as Council mayor comes to an end.

After the Mayor visited the community group in Cloughmills this week alongside Councillor Mclaughlin the local councillor said:

“I want to thank Sean Bateson for the work and effort that he has put in this year representing the council and all its citizens.

“Sean’s energy and passion for the area was amazing. His initiatives in support of community, investment and tourism, or for political outreach always caught the attention of the media and made a valuable contribution to the life of Causeway Coast and Glens.

“He has covered every inch of geography of the council area promoting and paying tribute to local communities and the work they do, highlighting all that is good and positive about this council. He deserves huge credit for the manner in which he served his term on behalf of all communities in this diverse council in a fair and balanced manner.

“I thank Sean for a fantastic year and to have the pleasure of having him here in Cloughmills this week visiting our community group to thank them for all the hard work they are putting in.
