Men armed with Hammer & Hatchet assault man at home in Ballysally

Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary that occurred in the Elms Park area of Coleraine during the early hours of yesterday morning, Thursday 15 September.

It was reported that at around 12.25am, four men, one armed with a hammer and one armed with a hatchet forced their way into a house and assaulted the male occupant, aged in his 20’s. A second man who was in the house at the time was not injured.

Detective Sergeant Gallagher is appealing for anyone who has any information about this incident to contact detectives at Coleraine Police Station on 101, quoting reference number 643 of 15/09/16. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
