Mercedes driver is accused of being over the limit

A MAN has been charged with driving a Mercedes vehicle whilst having excess alcohol in breath in the Liffock area of Castlerock.

Geoffrey Campbell (25), of Tudor Oaks in Ballymoney, appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on September 16 and his legal representative was solicitor Denise Gillan.

The defendant is charged in relation to Sunday August 25 this year.

Other charges he faces include aggravated taking of the Mercedes and causing damage to the vehicle and absence of insurance.

He was given £500 bail and the case adjourned to September 30.
