MLA Maurice Bradley has expressed his sadness at this morning’s news that Thomas Cook has ceased trading.

Bradley said: “The Thomas Cook store has been part of the main retail centre in Coleraine for many years.

“This morning’s news is devastating for the Coleraine staff.

“The team in Coleraine were well respected in their trade, and had built up many relationships with customers throughout the years.

“I just hope the staff can find employment sooner rather than later.

“The loss of any businesses is a tragedy, Thomas Cook was part of many high streets across Northern Ireland, today’s news is yet another blow to the retail sector in Northern Ireland.”
