MLA praises local news website for their forward-thinking approach to news reporting and community involvement on the Covid 19 pandemic

A East Londonderry MLA has praised a local news website for their forward-thinking approach to news reporting and community involvement on the Covid 19 pandemic.

Maurice Bradley said: “I’d like to pay tribute to Causeway Coast Community for their initiatives in getting news on Covid-19 Coronavirus out to the community and encouraging people to ask for help in these uncertain times.

“The situation is changing almost hourly, but it is reassuring to see so many within our area offering help through the site to those within the vulnerable groups.

“I would add that my office will remain contactable for anyone who needs help,” said the MLA.

“Today, Causeway Coast Community published advice from the Health Minister and the Education Minister. I would urge everyone to continue to pay heed to the important advice from the government here in Northern Ireland about social distancing and handwashing.”
