Mobile crane overturns in Dungiven

Emergency services are currently at the scene of an overturned crane at a construction site in the Priory Lane area of Dungiven trapping one male.

The Air Ambulance, NIFRS, NIAS and PSNI are in attendance.

A spokesperson for “NIFRS said Seven Appliances in total are attending the incident including the Specialist Rescue Team. The incident is ongoing and PSNI and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service are also in attendance.

Northern Ireland’s Air Ambulance was grounded last week as specialist medical staff were diverted to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic. Due to the high-severity of the incident, it was scrambled this afternoon.
