Motorist doing 92mph was on way to see daughter who had ‘taken unwell’

A MOTORIST caught doing 92mph was being “protective” of her daughter who had taken unwell, a court was told.

Charlene Moore (38), of Nursery Road, Gracehill, broke the 60mph limit at the Frosses Road on May 24 this year.

Defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine told Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday the defendant’s daughter had “taken unwell” in Portrush and his client, who who was “somewhat protective,” was on the way to the resort.

The lawyer said the defendant wished to apologise.
