A MOTORIST caught doing 93mph in the Ballybogey area has been given four penalty points and fined £350.

Kori Elliott (24), of Mountview Court, Ballybogey, was detected on May 19 this year.

Defence solicitor John Lindsay told Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena on Monday, the defendant’s mind was “on other things” at the time.

District Judge Peter King said the high speed had occurred on a road which is “dangerous” and where there have been a number of serious road traffic collisions over the years.
