A housing development comprising 10 units at Girona Avenue, Portrush has been warmly welcomed by local SDLP Councillor Angela Mulholland who has offered her full support to this new and exciting Shared Neighbourhood social housing scheme.
She said:
I am delighted Habinteg Housing Association has been able to bring forward this project under the concept ‘Together: Building United Community’ (TBUC).
This provides a new opportunity for local political representatives, partnerships and groups in the area to assist our new residents to participate in a shared community project which I believe will be a huge success enabling new families to come together and begin putting down roots in a seamless fashion.
The new development has my full support and if elected to the new council in May I will be identifying strongly with its development and any similar shared and intergenerational housing projects in the area.
