1 Mins read

A MAN suffered injuries to his nose and eye socket after being punched in his home by a “friend” in an incident described by District Judge Peter King as “nasty”.

The comment was made at Coleraine Magistrates Court on January 6 where Marcin Marzec (39), of Brook Street in Coleraine, was due to be sentenced for assault.
The assault happened on February 23 last year.

A previous court heard the incident happened when the defendant was half way through a two year period of suspension regarding an eight months sentence.

The current case was further adjourned to February.
