New and improved B&M Coleraine is off to a flying start

1 Mins read

Thursday 13 April 9am saw the long awaited opening of the new and improved B&M Bargains on Riverside Retail Park, in Coleraine.

The new colleagues were asked to nominate a local hero they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose Samaritans who will be taking centre stage as they officially unveil the bigger and better B&M store.

The team are specially trained to offer a safe place for people to talk about whatever’s getting to them, in their own way, at any time they like. The Samaritans help local people explore their options and offer a way of talking through their problems, so that they can make the decisions that are best for them.

In addition to opening the new store, the representatives also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers as a thank you for taking part.

The store has undergone a comprehensive internal and external make over programme, making the sales floor increase in size by 55% which means customers will have a bigger range of products across all departments.

The original store employed 72 colleagues but the bigger space has allowed them to take on an additional 30 colleagues.

The store manager, John Mailey, said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people and feedback on the new store has been great so far.”

B&M is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers and customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food & drink, home ware, pet products, health & beauty and seasonal ranges.
