No plans for Dualling of A37 Coleraine – Londonderry road

1 Mins read

Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard has confirmed that there are ‘no plans’ to dual the A37 Coleraine – Londonderry road.

This was in response to a question tabled from the DUP’s George Robinson MLA who asked: “Will the Minister state whether he will consider as a priority the dualling of the A37 Coleraine to Londonderry road at Gortcorbies, including the Greystone Road and Broad Road A37 junction roundabout scheme, to aid in attracting inward investment to the north-west of the Province and to help road safety?”

In response, Minister Hazzard said; “I am more than happy to consider any project if it has the advantages that you have outlined, such as opening up the north-west to tourism and economic growth. However, I have no plans to progress any dualling schemes on the carriageway that you have mentioned.”
