Northern Ireland’s first tea bar is set to open in Coleraine tomorrow.

Little over a month ago Aine McGuckian and her partner Duncan Davis setup a kickstarter page to raise cash for the finishing touches to the shop fit-out as well as for the purchase of ceramics and specialist cast iron tea pots.  158 backers pledged £5,665 to help bring this project to life.  Previously the couple secured funding of £10,000 from Ulster Bank.

The business idea was launched from participation in a nationwide competition called ‘TestTown’ in 2014, run by the Carnegie Trust.

Speaking to Causeway Coast Community this afternoon at the newly opened Tea Bar, Aine McGuckian said “With a huge selection of teas as well as sweet and savoury treats, including freshly made waffles, INFUSE is bringing something truly unique to the town. Check us out down at New Row from 8.30am to 6pm.”

Infuse Artisan Tea & Tea Bar is situated at 52 New Row, Coleraine.
