1 Mins read

The hugely popular ‘NW200 Faces and Places’ exhibition will open in Limavady Museum on Friday 22nd September.

Visitors to this travelling display can expect a rich collection of photographs from local newspaper archives which give a personal insight into the fascinating and thrilling world of motorcycle road racing.

The images, from the Chronicle and Constitution archive, include scenes from York Corner and Juniper Hill. The exhibition covers the North West 200 over a 10 year period from 1977 – 1987.

Spectators, riders, stewards, first aiders and fans are all featured. You may even spot a few familiar faces!

Prize artefacts from the NW200’s early years will also be on show and a themed children’s activity area will keep the little ones entertained. So make sure to pop in and discover a new perspective on one of the most important sporting events in the region.

The exhibition at Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre runs until Saturday 4th November, Monday to Wednesday 9.30am– 5pm, Thursday to Friday 9.30am – 9.30pm, Saturdays 9.30am – 5pm. Admission is free.
