A Ballymena man has been accused of offences which a prosecutor told a court were allegedly “aggravated by hostility”.

Kurt Graham (21), of Holland Park, is accused of assaulting a male and being disorderly in the vicinity of Crocknamack Street in Portrush on May 17 this year.

The defendant, whose legal representative was Connel Trainor, appeared in the dock at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday and a police officer said he believed he could connect him to the charges.

No further details were given to the court surrounding the charges.

The defendant was released on £500 bail with conditions including having no contact with the alleged injured party; he is banned from consuming alcohol and he is not to enter licensed premises.

The case was adjourned to July 8.
