Old Faughanvale Chapel sign replaced

1 Mins read

Sinn Féin councillor Dermot Nicholl has welcomed the erection of a new sign at the old chapel on Dunlade Road just outside Greysteel.

Cllr. Nicholl said “It was brought to my attention by residents on the Dunlade road that the name was wrong initially. I then reported this to the council and I pleased that it has now been replaced.”

“There is alot of history around the graveyard as it is where the old chapel used to be situated, some of which is still standing today. Locals frequent the graveyard as well as visitors from further afield and I believe the erection if this new sign will make more people aware of the history on their doorstep.
