Ophelia : First fatality reported with one person dead after a tree fell on a car in Co. Waterford

Emergency services are already being put to the test with numerous incidents being reported around the Republic of Ireland. Winds of 156km/h have been reported.

In Waterford, one woman has died after a tree fell on a car at Aglish in the west of the county.

According to RTÉ, early reports that two people were in the car are yet to be confirmed, but Waterford council has confirmed the death of at least one person in the incident.
