Oran keen to ‘keep’ Gareth

1 Mins read

Coleraine remain keen to make Gareth Deane’s switch to the Showgrounds permanent.

The goalkeeper moved from Linfield initially on loan and has featured in the fantastic Europa League run.

As yet no long term deal has been finalised but manager Oran Kearney is keen to get matters resolved ahead of the new season provisionally starting next month.

“As far as signing a goalkeeper goes, Gareth is my number one target,” confirmed Oran.

“When the loan runs out we could find ourselves looking for someone and that would be far from ideal.

With European ties coming thick and fast, negotiations have been on the back burner.

“Obviously these last couple of weeks have been manic and all our focus has been on planning for the games,” added Oran.
