Orange Order launches Radio Boyne app

1 Mins read

The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland has launched a mobile app to accompany its 2020 12th at Home celebrations.

The app, which is available for Android and Apple devices, including iPad, can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store or Play Store by searching for ‘Orange Order’.

The app will initially provide access to Radio Boyne, which is broadcasting over the weekend of 10th to 13th of July. However, it is anticipated that it will be developed further in the weeks ahead to bring more news, features and information from the Orange Institution

Radio Boyne is being viewed as the cornerstone of the Orange Institution’s 12th at Home celebrations, featuring a range of music, history, interview and feature broadcasts.

Deputy Grand Master Wor. Bro. Harold Henning, who is overseeing the 12th at Home celebrations, said the app was a fantastic addition to the Radio Boyne initiative.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of an app to accompany our Radio Boyne broadcasts,” said Bro. Henning.

“This will allow members of the Orange Family and others to access Radio Boyne on their phone or tablet device at the press of a button.

“We are very much looking forward to our 12th at Home celebrations and Radio Boyne is a big part of that. There will be a great variety of programmes across the four days which I am sure will have a big appeal with our members, their family and friends.”

The full programme schedule for Radio Boyne has been launched and can be viewed at www.goli.org.uk/radioboyne
