Over 50 COVID-19 cases at Coleraine meat factory

Over 50 COVID-19 cases have been traced to employees at WD Meats situated on the Newmills Road area of the town.

It is understood measures have been put into place to contain the spread on the premises.

As of yesterday afternoon, the postcode where the virus is now transmitting most in Northern Ireland is BT52 – with a rate of 682.1 per 100,000 population in the Coleraine area.

A total of 212 cases have been identified there in the last seven days.
