A parent has contacted us to appeal for witnesses following a road traffic accident this morning.
Tom McCrudden said “My daughter was involved in a collision with a car this morning at the traffic lights at Apple Green on the Long Commons, Coleraine at approx 8.30am. Fortunately she was not badly hurt having only suffered grazes to her hands and knees. Conveniently the Police were parked at Apple Green at the time so were on scene just after it happened. Once the Police had spoken to the driver and taken details, they drove my daughter onto her school as she didn’t feel the need to go to hospital or come home.
I would like an appeal for witnesses to the accident, especially other drivers who noticed the drivers speed or the traffic lights.
If you could ask for any witnesses to contact the PSNI on 101, it would be greatly appreciated.”
