Planning approved for multi-million pound distillery in Bushmills

1 Mins read

The planning committee yesterday afternoon approved plans for a new multi-million-pound distillery in Bushmills.

The approval will see a new distillery facility including a boiler house, cooling equipment and barrel store.

The planning application revealed the expansion will mean new jobs for the construction industry and full-time jobs created once it is operational.

The new distillery is aimed at addressing a worldwide surge in demand for Irish whiskey.

Bushmills Distillery claims to be the oldest licensed distillery in the world.
