Serious RTC on Castleroe Road, Coleraine this evening

Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic incident on the Castleroe Road area of Coleraine in which a car has flipped onto its roof.

It is understood that at least one person has been seriously injured in the incident which occurred shortly after 5pm this afternoon.

Commenting Councillor Philip Anderson said ‘Our thanks to the emergency services PSNI, NIAS and air support for their prompt roadside assistance.’

The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

There are no further details at this time.
