Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a church in the Drumagarner Road area of Kilrea.

Sometime between 8pm on Monday 26 December and 8am on Tuesday 27 December, the church was broken into and a sum of money was taken from a collection box.

Sergeant Joe George said: “I would ask anyone who knows anything about this burglary to contact Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 499 of 29/12/16. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
