Police in Coleraine are appealing for information following reports of arson attacks on two cars in Bushmills last night (Wednesday 12th September).

Inspector Watt said: “At around 11:15pm, it was reported that a car was on fire at the Haw Road area of Bushmills. Shortly after 11:40pm, it was reported that another car was alight in the Carnbore Road area of Bushmills. Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service attended the scene and extinguished the fires. Both cars were badly damaged as a result of the incidents.

“Enquiries are continuing but police are investigating a possible link between both attacks.

“We are appealing to anyone with any information to contact police in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference number 1421 12/9/18. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
