Police are investigating a report of criminal damage caused to a vehicle in Portrush

1 Mins read

Police are investigating a report of criminal damage caused to a vehicle in Portrush on Thursday (13th February).

Sergeant Clare Sweeney: “We received a report at around 2:25pm that a grey-coloured Skoda parked on Eglinton Street had its windscreen damaged sometime between 10am and 1:45pm that afternoon.

Enquiries into this incident, which is being treated as a hate crime, are underway to establish what occurred and I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to get in touch with us.

I would also appeal to drivers who may have been on the road at the time and have a dash cam to check their footage.

Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, quoting reference number 983 of 12/02/20. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
