Police called to sudden death in Ballymoney

Police attended the sudden death of a woman in the Main Street area of Ballymoney this morning, Wednesday 12 August.

At this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police remain at the scene.

Mervyn Storey MLA said:

“Regrettably, police have confirmed that a body was discovered of a women in a flat in Main St Ballymoney earlier today.

“A post-mortem I understand will be carried out to establish the cause of death, it is also I understand that no one else is being sought in relation to this death.

“It is sad that the family and friends of the deceased will be given this sad news.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.
