Police in Coleraine are appealing for information following an assault on a male in the Railway Place area of the town in the early hours of Thursday, July 13.

It was reported that at around 2.30am, a 24 year old male was assaulted in the vicinity of the train station. The man sustained a facial fracture and was subsequently treated at hospital for his injury.

Constable Halligan said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference 829 of 13/07/17. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
