Police find drugs after seeing car parked at entrance to field

Police approached a car parked at the gate way to a field and then discovered a man had cocaine and herbal cannabis.

Robert James Montgomery (23), of Loughabin Road near Dunloy, had the offences detected on February 28 this year.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday March 25 he admitted possessing Class A and Class B drugs.

A defence solicitor said the defendant had pulled in to make a phone call.

The defendant was fined £250.
