Since May, police have checked on a Bushmills man more than twenty times in relation to his bail, a court has heard.
The revelation that the PSNI made 22 checks on Kyle Nigel Parke, whose address was listed as no fixed abode in Bushmills, came at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday October 1.

It has emerged that at 12.08am on September 29 police were unable to establish if the defendant was at his bail address.

Defence barrister Thomas McKeever said the breach was accepted.

Parke had received High Court bail in May this year after being accused of burglaries at dwellings in Portrush in March.

Monday’s court heard prosecutors have now withdrawn the burglary charges but that the defendant is now charged with receiving stolen goods – electronic devices and jewellery.

He is also charged with being disorderly at the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine and possession of herbal cannabis and Diazepam.

Parke was re-admitted to bail on the same terms – although to reflect the breach District Judge Peter King said he was increasing the bail amount to £350.

The case was adjourned to October 8.
