Police In Limavady Are Appealing For Information Following A Fire At A Derelict Building On The Outskirts Of The Town

Police in Limavady are appealing for information following a fire at a derelict building on the outskirts of the town at the weekend.

Constable Mark France said: “The fire at the building, which is situated within the grounds of commercial premises on the Drumrane Road, was reported to us at approximately 7:20pm on Friday, 6 July.

“NIFRS attended the scene.

“Extensive damage was caused to the building.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time and saw any suspicious activity, or anyone who knows anything about this, to contact police on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1283 of 06/07/18.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
