Police investigating Attempted Arson on Car in Portstewart

1 Mins read

Police are appealing for information following an attempted arson on a car in the Station Road area of Portstewart.

A PSNI Spokesperson said : “Sometime between 22:30hrs on 12/9/16 and 10:30hrs on 13/9/16 an elderly couple had damage caused to their vehicle and an attempt was made to set the vehicle alight. Thankfully the car never completely caught fire or there could have been a lot more damage caused or people injured given how close the car was to the house”

Anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious during this time should contact PSNI via the non emergency number on 101.
