Police have reassured the public that they will be on patrol around the North Coast this weekend to ‘keep our communities safe’.
In an early Saturday morning social media post they said :
“While we recognise people will be making the most of what is on their doorstep for exercise we would ask that you consider staying as close to home as possible and only travel for essential purposes.
Over the last few weeks, we have attended some serious and fatal road traffic collisions.
If you are travelling please do so safely. Stick to the speed limits, never drink or take drugs and drive, and please only use a mobile phone when it is safe to do so.
We are grateful for your co-operation.”
