1 Mins read

The Police Ombudsman has started to investigate the conduct of an off-duty police officer who appeared to restrain a schoolboy following a snowball altercation in Limavady last week.

The move comes after a video that was shared over 100,000 times on social media.

A spokesperson for the Police Ombudsman said “We are investigating an altercation involving a police officer and a schoolboy. Our investigators have begun the process of gathering evidence to assess the appropriateness of the officer’s actions during the incident.”
