A MAN facing drugs charges has been granted bail at Coleraine Magistrates Court subject to an address being approved by police.
Defence barrister Thomas McKeever said the accused – Jonathan Edgar (23) – had been in custody for several months on remand where he had engaged with “mental health services”.
Edgar, with an address listed as Magheramenagh Drive in Portrush, faces six drugs-related charges relating to January 5 this year.
He is accused of being concerned in offering to supply cannabis; possession of cannabis with intent to supply; possession of cannabis; converting ‘criminal property namely controlled drugs’ and assaulting and obstructing a police officer.
At the court, sitting in Ballymena on Monday October 12, bail was granted in the sum of £500 and a surety of £500.
Bail conditions include an address being approved by police; a night time curfew; no contact with a co-accused and an exclusion from Coleraine.
The defendant is also banned from having a mobile phone or using any device that can access the internet.
The case was adjourned to October 26.
