Portrush man is accused of assault and having a wrench as an offensive weapon

A PORTRUSH man is charged with making a threat to kill; assaulting a male occasioning him actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon – a wrench.

Roy Lafferty (44), with an address listed as Glenbush Drive, is also accused of attempting to damage the front door of a house at Glenbush Drive on the same date – September 24 this year.

He is also accused of assaulting a female on several dates.

Another charge he faces is the theft of eight tins of Guinness from Lidl in Portrush on August 21 this year.

At Coleraine Magistrates Court on October 19 the cases were adjourned to November 16.
