Portrush RNLI rescue broken down fishing boat with two on board

Portrush all weather lifeboat was launched today at 13.30 to reports of a 17 foot fishing vessel with two people on board that at broken down approx 0.5 miles off Dunseverick.

An RNLI Spokesperson said ‘The small Y boat was launched from the ALB and recovered the two people successfully. They were then taken to Dunseverick Harbour to the waiting Coastguard at 3pm approx.

Crew today was Cox Des Austin; Mechanic Mark Mitchell; and Crew Lisa Abernethy; Tim Nelson; Beni McAllister and Ben Durrant.’
