A 49 year old man has been charged with burglary and common assault.
He is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court via videolink on Monday 30th November. As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges are in relation to a man who was discovered inside a house in the Mullaghacall Road area of Portstewart on Sunday 29th November, in which the occupant sustained bruising after a confrontation with the intruder and was left badly shaken as a result of the incident.
